1. Introduction

Welcome to the Kri-Kri Movement, a web-based interactive experience provided by CRETAN ("we," "us"). By accessing our web app, entering a stone code, or participating in the search for stones, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use.

2. Assumption of Risk (Crucial Warning)

You acknowledge that participating in the Kri-Kri project involves outdoor physical activity, which carries inherent risks.

• Nature of Activity: Searching for stones may require walking on uneven terrain, hiking in remote areas, or navigating changing weather conditions.
• Your Responsibility: You agree that you are voluntarily participating in these activities with knowledge of the dangers involved. You are solely responsible for your own safety and the safety of any minors accompanying you.
• Release of Liability: To the fullest extent permitted by law, CRETAN is not liable for any personal injury, property damage, or other loss sustained during your participation. You explore entirely at your own risk.

3. Code of Conduct (Guardian Rules)

As a Guardian of a Kri-Kri stone, you agree to the following rules. Violation of these rules may result in us blocking your access to the web app.

• Respect the Ancients: NEVER hide or search for stones within fenced archaeological sites, on ancient walls, or in restricted excavation zones. Greece has strict laws regarding antiquities; do not disturb them.
• Respect Private Property: Do not trespass on private land, olive groves, or fenced enclosures to hide or find a stone.
• Leave No Trace: Do not damage flora or fauna. Do not dig up the earth. The stones are meant to sit lightly on the landscape.
• Safety First: Do not place stones in dangerous locations (e.g., cliff edges, underwater, or near high-speed roads).

4. User-Generated Content & License

When you upload a photo or story to the Kri-Kri Web App:

• You retain ownership of your content.
• You grant us a license: You give CRETAN a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual, and non-exclusive license to use, reproduce, modify, and display your content for the purposes of the Kri-Kri initiative and CRETAN marketing (including our map and social media).
• Warranty: You promise that you own the photo and that it does not violate anyone else's privacy or copyright.

5. The "No Account" System

We do not maintain password-protected accounts. Your access is tied to the unique Stone ID and the email address you provide. We reserve the right to block specific email addresses or Stone IDs from the platform if we detect abuse, offensive content, or violations of the Code of Conduct.

6. Intellectual Property

The "Kri-Kri" concept, the "CRETAN" brand, the map design, and the underlying software are the property of CRETAN. You may not copy, reverse-engineer, or use our branding for commercial purposes without written permission.

7. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Greece. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Heraklion, Crete.
